The level converter, could you show some photos from other angles from your Pi to the board. On your pi your using the top post pin outs with in a row but then on your diagram your using a mix of 2? Sorry not trying to be stupid

Any update on the software side of things? Got all my kit now Could do with a few better photos of the DC converter as I can’t match up your diagram to the actual photos above.

Just checking how you got on with this? My goal is to use the Pi in Comport 3 so I can have crestron enabled (thus control via homebride/ homeassistant)

Any other suggestions to lower the Pi zero? I can’t run any other cables to my alarm board so I guess I’m splicing into the mains input.

what was wrong with the link I posted above? Plenty amps too. Can I not just splice into the 12v feed to the JAL-001...

great result! Are you able to power the pi zero via the Texecom board? Do you need a voltage converter at all? TBH for the price it’s not that much more than an ESP Would I need something like this...

I actually forgot these devices existed, I have a normal pi which runs HA, HomeGaurd and various other containers including acting as a DNS (which is frustrating when it reboots as my internet goes down) I might get a pi zero just for this purpose! Great shout

sorry to clutter a thread with silly questions - but I have an elite 24, I also have JAL-001. I have connected via wintex via smartcom and set com port 1 as smart comm, 2 as ComIP and 3 as creston so I can utilise homeassitant etc. Even though JAL-001 is attached via the main board pinout...

Open the case, press the sync button 5 times within 3 seconds, all 5 LEDs start flashing and then once booted the cloud icon just continues to flash.

I’ve reset the smartcom by taking the cover off, then pressing 5 times until it reboots, I can see it’s successfully restored as it’s now broadcasting its own network. So I now plug in my ethernet cable and I can see an amber light come on the switch, no response from the smartcom though

tested multiple cables and still no joy. Been on the phone to tech support and they think it may be a problem with the port on the SmartCom but I'm not sure (as it was working only a few days ago and nothing been plugged/unplugged to it). Came across this thread...

Ok, so got everything back up and running including me changing the engineer code. For some reason however the smartcom only works via Wi-Fi and not when hard wired via Ethernet. I’ve reset the smartcom a few times and make up a new cable too, still won’t connect via Ethernet. I’m assuming this...
