How do you fill a cylinder slowly? Don't you just put the water on?

I think so, as there's water coming out of all the hot water taps. There is some water on the heating side, but shouldn't it gush out of the pump if you open the valve?

Thanks John. We've already put weedkiller down and the weeds are gone. At the moment it's just soil, so we'll have to do something to keep the weeds from returning. I don't know when we can re-plant, which is why we were thinking of chippings etc.

If I'm right, seeds will take a few weeks to really show. That'll be fine as the house won't be for sale for a month or so anyway. That's not a bad idea about grassing, especially for the front border. Thanks breezer.
