    Worcester Combi 30Si Problems

Without knowing what your cold water pressure and flow rate is, then everything else is purely speculation.

    Electrocuted

Have you tried contacting the local Worcester Bosch Rep, they need to know that one of their 'accredited' guys is working dangerously and that Gas Safe have been notified and that a Riddor has been completed. If the guy fits lots of WB boilers then more than likely not a lot will happen to him...

Worcester Bosch 30Si broken- another worcester boiler that uses the same jig?

If that's all it needs, a plate hex, pressure gauge and wiring harness, I'd get it repaired. Your only going to pick up another 2nd hand dog of a boiler. All new Worcesters now use different jigs. Edit, while your RGI is stripping it down, replace the electrodes and burner gasket.

    Fitting a secondhand Salamander CT50

Did you mark your unit, some very untrustworthy people on Fleabay. You'll probably give him a refund and he'll return his old unit. Foxtrot Oscar comes to mind.

    Smart thermostats everywhere!

Dan, when you're in a loft trying to clear, rebind, clear, rebind, clear, rebind a coms fault on a zone several times and getting nowhere, it would be nice to actually speak to the manufacturer.

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

How were you controlling the boiler, Worcester offer their smart thermostat - The Wave, which adds another 2 years to the warranty.

    Corgi programmable unit

You don't have a gravity fed system with the 15ri, you have a fully pumped mid position system.

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

Not much difference between the 2 boilers, apart from software and a couple of other bits. The only thing I can think of that will increase your warranty on the Worcester is a Greenstar System Filter, but £295 is a bit steep, especially if your fitting the boiler at the same time.

Boiler keeps firing Although controller is OFF

Something doesn't make sense, you mention only one zone valve, plus an expansion rad. Are you sure its not a Gravity Fed Hot Water with pumped central heating via the heating Zone Valve.

Changing over to a combi in a bungalow.

I will add the Worcester Bosch Classic is the best boiler in their range so good choice.

Changing over to a combi in a bungalow.

OK, you've had the proper advice, now if you were my customer and it's your money at the end of the day. You have 2 bathrooms although very rarely used, you don't have the space for a stored hot water system, then I would opt for the 38cdi over the 42cdi. The extra cost doesn't warrant the...

Surely, the customer should have had a choice about whether they're system needed a top up of inhibitor or not. The customer could then have made a decision in their interest.
