I live in a 1930s semi.Recently I went under the floorboards into a 3ft.cavity to lay some wiring. I noticed that the underside of the floorboards were pitted with small holes (like a dartboard),however these are not noticeable on the upperside. Can anyone explain what has caused this.

Thank you all for your input. Yes Libby i do declare to insurance that I do less than 4000 miles,not sure I get a discount though. I think I will let my local garage continue with it's normal annual service. :lol: ( Better to be safe than sorry )...

I have a Citroen Xsara 1.4i hatcbback which i purchased new in March 2000, ie W reg. It has had a full service every February although i only drive approx.3500 miles per year,present mileage 22400. My question is... do I really need a full service each year due to my low mileage ...
