You'd need to take it off the wall but unless your gas safe registered your goosed as would involve "breaking" a gas connection. Even if there is enough room to remove it from above the boiler you may need to disconnect the flue bend, either way you need a registered installer.

Is your system pressurized or does it have a F & E Tank?

Anyone had any bother with these? Boiler goes to lockout and the customer has to reset, usually in morning. I think it could be the CH Thermistor but just thought i'd ask here before I head to it tomorrow night. IIRC it could be thermistor, gas valve or PCB? Anyone encountered this...

Agree with bingo, always check/replace the cheapest parts first, the thermistors are about a tenner.

Aye the PCB was different, but got the part number from ariston themselves. PCB 65100248, the pcb works when I disconnect the flow switch, I'm hoping zk's post is right in that it needs a new updated one, hopefully ariston will be able to tell me.

Could be the microswitch is jammed in the on position in the CH motorized valve, turning off prog etc will have no effect, the only way you can get the boiler to stop firing is turning off the spur unit. If you are confident with electrics, switch off the spur unit, open the wring center and...

These are a bugger, why a boiler manufacturer makes as key! which is often discarded or lost is beyond me, the grey knob is a pain as well and often breaks, sorry not helping, just read this and fancied a rant lol

Thanks! Is this on the new board mate? Would it stop the board from working when the above is connected? The one/off is a push button on this boiler. The board on light only comes on when I hae the flow switch disconnected.

Thanks i've checked within the boiler, had every component disconnected/reconnected to try and determine the problem lol. Within the boiler its clean and dry.
