    Bathroom electrics

Thanks both. mikhailfaradayski: In relation to the lights, there is obviously a feed going to the current fitting. Can this be utilised to supply toe power for the 5 halogen downlights? The shower: I think this has been explained (removed of RCD, take otu as mush wire as possible)...

Afternoon all. We are in the process of getting quotes for work in the bathroom, and i would just like some advice to ensure i am not being spun a tale or running blind. There are four things in the new bathroom design that are electricery related. 1. New downlights (aware of "zone"...

    Fitting a mixer shower

Not sure what our water pressure is to be honest. When i open the hot tap, it is quite a flow. The cold certainly belts out. Is it just a case of fitting a mixer unit from the bathroom feeds? (not having done this before!)

    Fitting a mixer shower

Having problems with my electric shower which is fair play since is was a cheapie put in when we moved into the house 2 years ago. Was thinking of redoing the bathroom fully now, and debating whether to fit a mixer shower. Can this be done with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28i Junior combi?

The 7mm fits into a pre-drilled hole in the wood. Underneath there is a screw, but it will not come into contact with the cap. (recessed by about 4mm)

Not sure if this belongs in this, but here goes. Earliler in the year i installed an MFI kitchen (Rimini). Recently we have had the boiler changed, and i had kept hold of all the bits of spare wood and panels, screws and cosmetic screw plugs etc for this. However, on boxing in the...

    Worcester Boiler

Righty, i finally managed to get someone round to have a look at my boiler (no hot water) and the diaphragm had split, and a microswitch was playing up. They managed to fix the switch, but had to fit a new diaphragm. They also noticed the iginter (pizo?) had broken, but also fixed that without...

If i bought my own boiler, plus parts - would i just get fleeced another way and end up paying the same?

    Quick quote

And your personal preference would be? A good tip someone told me the other day was, "Ask what the fitter has installed in his own home". To me that sounds a bit dangerous. Like decorators who can't be bothered repainting their own house since they do it day in, day out.

    Quick quote

Just so i know what i am paying for, one of the Vaillant Boilers mentioned is available roughly for £841.30 inc VAT. This means fitting and powerflush is around £1200? Someone else recommended Worcester. Is it just semantics and personal installer preference?
