Rads not reaching full temperature and remaining there.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try out the tests you mentioned. The pump was actually done by a plumber a month or so ago but he didn't flush the system as far as I am aware. The rads have been bled fully. The stat doesn't make any clicks when you move it as far as I am aware but I'll re-try it...

Rads not reaching full temperature and remaining there.

Hi, Hope someone could help. We are having problems with our CH in that when it comes on it doesn't reach the temperature as requested on the thermostat. Radiators will heat up for a while and then the boiler cuts out prior to the temperature actually getting to that set on the thermostat. It...

    3-port motorised valve query

Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. I was looking on the internet and found this valve : 'Honeywell V4073A 3 Port Mid-Position Valve 22mm' for £65 from Plumbworld.co.uk. Do you reckon this is the one that I should go for ? Quick question. Are the wire colours standard on all of these valves...

    3-port motorised valve query

Hi, Looking for some help and advice in regard to a problem my parents are having whereby when 'Hot Water Only' is selected the radiators also warm up. After looking at other threads in the forum the fault looks to be the 3-port motorised valve that they have. My questions are as follows...

    Monobloc copper tap tail bending

Hi, Hoping someone could advise me on the best way of bending the copper tail pipes that come with Monobloc taps. The reason I ask is that I need to do bend these both slightly outward and then downward again for them to link up to the hot and cold 15mm supply pipes. Is it possible to...

Leak on wingnuts for close-coupled toilet

Hi, Many thanks for the replies. Hi John...I'll check out the inside of the cistern again. It did look very clean but I'll give it a wash out just in case. Hi Bahco..I'll see if I can find a larger metal washer and give that a go also. It seems that the leak though runs through the...
