Warning notice for new boiler and gas supply turned off

In spite of what your installers told/promised you, I have a sneaking suspicion you will never see them again. As the GasSafe guys on here are telling you, get in a local reputable rgi to sort the situation. Only snag is, a lot of rgi's wont touch someone else's bodge - especially if there is...

    Removing gas fire?

Gas112, would that then mean that a replacement meter would become an expensive proposition, as I suggested earlier, or would a new supplier be happy to reinstate the removed pipe and meter for little, if any, charge. Not trying to catch FiremanT out, just curious.

    Removing gas fire?

OP, I know you have probably tried to argue this with your mum already, but - getting a gas meter reinstalled is far from cheap. Can't you convince her to simply have the fire removed and if necessary, associated piping? Then leave the gas meter in place, but capped off.

    POTTERTON SUPRIMA 40HE FAULT

Kyote, in the nicest possible way, can I point out that it would have been far cheaper for your mate to call in an RGI to look at his boiler than to get you to replace the pcb. I know it is easy to be wise after the event and I don't mean to sound smug. Make sure the professional your mate...

Just in case you haven't noticed through your usual red mist - Steve Coogan hasn't bothered to post back. But don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

As you seem to expect me...... So, your sole reason for posting was to be rude and offensive to Dan. Class act. Still Mr Angry, I see. What happened to you deleting your account from this forum? You seem to be all mouth and nothing....

Am I being scammed by a gas-safe company?

What I find annoying, Razor, is not only have they removed your post, but also your questioning why they have done it. Yet they persistently allow idiots to troll this forum (even alternative idiots) ad infinitum.......

    combi boiler problem

Good chance you still have air in the system - did you bleed the pump? To help the GasSafe engineers on here, it would help if you could say what happens when you try to fire up the boiler - flashing lights, error codes, fan noise etc. Also, what bar is your pressure gauge showing?

Kitchen sink - sound dampening thing - like blu-tac ?

At a guess, you stick it under the sink bowl to reduce drumming. I think I've even seen this stuff stuck under draining boards as well. Other peeps may be on here later who will know for sure.

Help - cant work out how to increase Ideal Independent C24 boiler pressure

The left hand black lever on the filling loop is now open, correctly, but you now have to turn something on the other end. I see you have no lever on this - so normally there would be a screw head for you to quarter turn. As I can't see one, I suspect it might be underneath. Get a mirror to...

How to repressurise an ideal independent C24 Boiler

Yup, my bad! I was looking at the r/hand lever and wrongly assuming the other was the same. Should have known better! Therefore, no screw - but is that bolt coming loose? The lever has to grip the inner spline to turn the valve. So far you have gone above and beyond the call of duty - shame...

How to repressurise an ideal independent C24 Boiler

In addition to Prentice's usual excellent advice, these plastic levers are flimsy at best. You may be turning the lever, but the valve may not be turning (which is what Prentice suggested). If this is the case, remove the small screw in the centre of the (upside down) black plastic lever...

How to repressurise an ideal independent C24 Boiler

Ok, my apologies. I think you need to post a pic of how the valves under the boiler are positioned at this moment in case you have left one inadvertently shut. I'm going out now, but it will help others diagnose your problem. Good luck - I'm sure we'll get you sorted.
