How to repressurise an ideal independent C24 Boiler

The black valve on the left is upside down - not an issue! - but simply turn both the black valves so the lever is in line with the hose. When your pressure gauge reads about 1.5 bar, turn the black valves back to how they were. Your pressure doesn't look far off now - are you sure it needs...

How to repressurise an ideal independent C24 Boiler

I am not sure why the OP is unscrewing the filling loop - it looks securely attached, just leave it that way and operate the two attached valves until the pressure is about 1.5 bar. Then close both valves. Unless I have read things wrongly - apologies if I have.

Never had a Magnetic Filter fitted - beneficial only after new boiler install?

You may as well add inhibitor when the Magnaclean is fitted as it is then so easy to do. Having both will be better than just one (or none!)

    New Alpha CB28 micro switch

That would probably be pushing the envelope for Bernard, Tony. Perhaps just leave the casing off and see if he spot that without a Google.

Estimate of what the wallet damage will be

Not wishing to spend your money for you, but you might take the opportunity to remove the last section of metal (that joint looks a real botch) and go plastic down to ground level. Good luck, buddy!

Estimate of what the wallet damage will be

OP, it wouldn't harm your cause to lift those pavers and (carefully) reveal the clay pipe as far as the next joint. If there is damage, your plumber pal would be able to effect a repair far more cheaply than if he had to do the digging.

    Boiler Noise driving me nuts

Just to save the righteous from being tarred with the wrong brush, Eternal, please note that the poster of that particularly unpleasant comment is not an engineer or rgi. He is someone with a chip on his shoulder who has, apparently, done an illegal self install of a gas boiler.

Can't read the Boiler Inspection remedial works comments!

Vents, yes, but what type? Can't see confirm in BG man's scrawl - but concede you actually came up with a word, which is more than I could..... Oh, and I think I see no T/ guard.

    Fitting new boiler costs

Your allocated sum seems realistic, but as no-one on here can actually visualize the planned installation, it might be better to go down the route of getting a few quotes locally, then deciding. More hassle, I agree, but ultimately more useful to you. Sorry if this sounds unhelpful.

Can't read the Boiler Inspection remedial works comments!

The first comment refers to the position of your flue in relation to a soil pipe/window. Still working on the rest. Think the BG man was a doctor in a past life.....

    Fitting new boiler costs

Most rgi's would walk away from this kind of proposition. Allow them to supply boiler etc ( after discussion with you ) would be the best way. Otherwise, you are sending out all the wrong kind of signals.

    Parts advice

Very clear and concise. Thank you. Now for the unhelpful bit. I appreciate you are only asking this advice so you can order the correct parts for your chosen RGI to eventually fit. But - because that advice would be gas related, no one on here would be allowed to give that advice, no matter how...
