    concealed any day, takes longer looks better. why are you plasterboarding a brick wall just skim it, your tiling over it anyway. a concealed shower will need about 3" depending on make and model you choose. or fit a bar mixer then you only got to conceal the pipework.

    the filters and valves are located in the back of the mixer total strip down. any names or markings on the mixer valve ?

    what shower mixer is it. have you tried the filters or check if the non return valves are not sticking? and the thermostatic cartridge don't sound to clever.

    upwards. anti clockwise. but be careful you don't twist it on the pipe.

    try getting it from 22mm to 32mm after the joists.

    you say it's not corrosion, because it has several zones and newish rads. but could be the overflow pipe. but didn't do it last year. that don't make any sense at all vent pipe is in same place, new rads and several zones so what don't mean anything so what wasn't their last year...
