thanks very much, i had to draw it out on paper (learning all the time) to plug the transformers in would mean switching would be understairs at sockets and they want all 3 light setups to operate from switch

figured as they were going to light switch first then sockets also as other set of down lights would be off switch also ring--fcu--3gang switch---to socket for trans---to other downlights just thought the switch and cables for other downlights would need to be dropped down if not the case...

need to fit some downlights and due to various reasons can only come up with one soloution, but not sure on if its allowed and cant find ref: in regs but im sure you chaps will know: fusing down from ring with 3a fcu to power two plug in transformers, is a double socket ok to fuse down if...

strange? you cant do level 2 unless you have level 1, and then you need level 2 before you can do level 3. (according to c&g)

from what i know the only prequisite needed to sit 2391 at college is 17th edition - i know because i just booked september course and had to show my 17th cert.
