another calc query for the experts

thats great (yet again spark) but how is this compared to time/current charachteristic charts? ie: notes from practical guide book: once zs established divide by voltage for fault current. apply this calc to time/current graph to determine actual disco time for circuit. 60898 6a...

another calc query for the experts

sorry to be a pain: measured zs on lighting circuit of 0.95ohms max zs for 6a breaker in regs is = 7.67ohms do these figures sound correct (only on a test board so no long runs etc) then divided volt by zs for a fault current = came up with 242? not sure how this is compared to...

    rcd operation calcs

oh yes so it is - lol wasnt expressing 30ma as 0.03 silly one more thing though, wouldnt these values for disconection be hard NOT to meet ?

    rcd operation calcs

bs7671 states given values for rcd operation: 30ma maximum Ra 1667 and states formula Ra Idelta n< 50 can someone explain this calculation cant seem to get the formula?

    Megger mft help

thanks gary (had to turn electric back on again lol) think i got it now non trip and 3 leads for rcd side hi settings and two leads for non rcd actually getting readings now and kettle stays on - thanks v much :)

    Megger mft help

yeah the no trip is giving the error (why?) just found hi setting will give you ohms for zs and pfc gives ka for fault does this require 3 leads or can it be done with 2? circuits are rcd protected
