Yeah get the guy who seviced it back. Could be something as simple as he's knocked the ignition sensing lead off or poor contact hence the intermittence (<<is that a word !!)

It's a possiblity that flushing/cleaning of the system will clear the problem up as its usually down to grit & sludge that cause this part to fail. Worth remebering though that the part in question does tend to stick eventually and would require replacing although perhaps not quite as...

Actually i totally agree with that. OK so i dont make £1500+ (!) a week but im quite happy with that - i go home at 4-5 and forget about it all, having made a "reasonable" wage at the end of the week. I do also see a general slating of us young guys btw- total respect to folks like Agile, etc...

They are a b****r those boilers to work on - leak like sieves all the time. Too many fiddly o'rings and plastic parts for my liking.
