    Removal after PVA

I mean after PVA (what does the following C stand for) or PVAC the flooring together to create a more water resistant join, at a later date can I dismantle the flooring (if I move)? Or will trying to dismantle the floor after it being PVAC destroy the click system? Thanks Vertical

Thanks WYL. How do office chairs with the five wheel bases get on with engineered wood. Judging from my lounge I may carry it on into my spare bedroom (office/computer room)? Vertical

    Concrete second floor

Thanks WoodYouLike. I`ve nearly finished the living room, I`m just at the doorway, so lessthan four pieces to go in. Somehow my calculations have gone haywire, I was expexted to be finishing with around 90 mm of board as I cut the first boards in half to result in this. But I`m left with...

    Concrete second floor

I`ve got underway, just using the foam to see how it goes. Do you have any tips for getting the next row of wood in (I`m using engineered wood with a click system)? I`m having a little trouble getting it to click/lock into place. I`m seating it in the position for locking, then going along...

Clic Seal. Is this worth using?

Hmm, do you really want to know what I think?? I noticed you don`t sell it on your site! Wouldn`t this help even a small amount compared to none at all? At the same time though as the floor expands and contracts wouldn`t this be forced apart? Then again I suppose if each board can...

Clic Seal. Is this worth using?

I`ve just been to floors2go for threshhold strips. I then noticed the clic seal stuff here http://www.floors2go.co.uk/products/productdetail.php?category_id=30&product_id=436&variation_id=1528&search_term=. It supposedly waterproofs the floor by sealing the joints between the planks of...

    Cutting Architrave? (for wooden flooring)

When I said 10 mm doorframes , I was thinking therotically. So, if the frames were 10mm thick the i would have no door frame left. but If the door frames were 20 mm thick then I`m thinking I would have 10 mm (depth) of door frame still left, well if my chiseling is perfect. Thanks

    Flushing the system?

Thanks Chris. The compression fittings didn`t register with me until you pointed it out. Information (or question) overload. I`ve had to go into question mode on here instead of the usual think for myself mode. However me going into question mode is better than my natural mode of trying to...

    Cutting Architrave? (for wooden flooring)

I mean when I`ve cut through the doorframe, doing so on both sides because I`m laying on both sides. Wouldn`t this leave a small piece of the frame untouched where the threshhold will be. As I`m typing this I`m thinking that if I`m doing both siides of the doorway and the doorframe is lets...

    Flushing the system?

Thanks Chris Sorry, even more questions! Can I disconnect the CH Return and then use a hose/tubing on that? (Question a) There doesn`t seem to be a drain valve. Can I drain the through disconnecting one of the ground floor radiators? (Question b) Do I have to fit one of these...

    Cutting Architrave? (for wooden flooring)

I`m wondering whether I`ve being using the right terms. When I`ve said architrave I`ve meant both the wood that resembles skirting around the outside of the frame and the actual frame itself. I completely understand cutting through the architrave as this is exactly the same as the skirting...

    Flushing the system?

Have had Worcester engineer out today who replaced various parts, so now boiler (Worcester 24i with 13 radiators, all 8years old ) is working fine. He recommended a power flush as he could see sludge on the PRV that he replaced or at least some chemical flush being added. So after reading...

    Concrete second floor

Would there be any benefit of laying the foam insulation down and then adding the fibreboards (the niva boards from Ikea)? The reason I`m thinking of doing this is that the foam will take out the slight uneveness and the undulations (probably a max of 2mm, maybe 2.5mm in the odd place, I...

    Worcester 24i combi boiler problems

Thanks for your replies. Ending up calling worcester out, they came the next day. He couldn`t find the fault, so he replace the PCB, fan and its controller, PRV, tubing for pressure sensor and the knob that I broke the last time I took it apart and stood on it. Due to the amount of sludge...

    Cutting Architrave? (for wooden flooring)

Hi I`m laying an engineered wooden flooring in my living room and hallway. Now in the doorway in between the two rooms, do I cut the architrave straight through the bottom between both doors or do I leave some of the base of the arcitrave where the expansion gap and its threshold cover will be...

Hi all. We have a Worcester 24i combi boiler which is about 8 years old. It has been problematic in the past, with it not lighting or slow to produc hot water however it is only today after noticing this forum that I paid much attention. After running the shower it was producing no hot...
