Grant Boiler, internal or external models available. A 'Y' or 'S' heating plan would give you independent control of heating house and hot water... keeping your existing cylinder, with thermostats for house and water temperature.

You don't need an RGI for an OIL Boiler! I don't think the controls are telling the boiler that heat is required. Get an electrician to check the wiring to work out where the fault is... either room stat or time clock I reckon.

It could be a 'controls' problem more than the boiler itself. Is the wall stat and programmer sending power to the boiler to call foe heat? Is the red LED for CH Pump coming on?

How old is the shower. Usually anything over 10 yrs old is not worth repairing. The annoying thing is that manufacturers change the design layout and sometime a 'like for like' swap is not as simple as you would hope.

Have you checked the filter is clean?

No way do you need to knock holes in the wall if it is leaking from the shower unit itself.

A combi will not be great with x2 showers and a bath running at the same time. What is your mains water pressure and flow rate?

Are the isolation valves to your tap fully open or are they only open a small amount? Opening them a small amount can cause a lot of noise.
