If it bugs you that much go to the local tool hire and get a CAT and genny. The genny will put a signal on the pipes and you will be able to trace the pipes with the CAT for as long as you want. Easy to use and not that expensive to hire.

Another update on the never ending shed. Inside finished and before I could think what I was putting in the squatters took up residence. Got on in traditional Easter fashion of erecting fencing and the last bit of decking round the back to the store room. Found these triangle block...

If you are going to undermine the foundation then it would normally be carried out by excavator. The foundation could be in a dangerous condition as it has failed. The side of the excavation will be vertical as well not a good place to be in there.

I had similar thinking they may be connected to rail works. I think they probably don't make them any more so if they want new covers they will need to be bespoke. Thanks for having a go.

I have no idea what these cable ducts are as there is no markings on them nor can I find any info by google. I need to try and source replacement covers. Anyone got a clue to what make they are? Made from a cement based material with fibres through it.
