    Isolating the supply

if you have to drain down the cold water storage vessel in the loft, you can tie up the ball valve to stop any more water entering and open all the cold taps inthe bathroom although the cold tap for the bath should be fed in 22mm and therefore drain down quicker. once the water has stopped...

Hi All, Ive drained a vented central heating system with an older NETAHEAT system boiiler. The system has 2 2port valves for the CH and hot water. Ive refilled the system (opened up the ball valve in the FandE tank and bled the CH although i think theres an airlock as the pump is making...

Can I fit an Essex Flange Here?

some aqualisa pumped showers (hiqu etc) will allow a hot water tapping directly from the domestic hot water pipe on top of the cylinder. Ive fitted one in this position without any hot water draw off problems. This will obviously avoid having to tart around fitting a flange. alhtough check the...

    Watertight door for wetroom...

if youre worried about leakage you need to build a small weir over your door threshold and tank it. when you fit the door you should also install a small plastic trim or lip at the bottom to deflect any spray over your weir and back into the room

Will This Pump Be OK To Boost Hot Taps In Bungalow?

should be fine. you'll have to take the hot water via a flange on the top or side of the cylinder to stop air being drawn into the pump. i think the easiest option is a warix or a surrey flange. The essex type requires you drilling a hole in the side of your tank so is more hastle.
