if youre putting the pump in the loft, make sure you have sufficient head to activate the flow switches or choose a negative head pump. The last stuart tuner monsoon pump i installed was 3 bar and served 2 bathrooms with pretty good pressure for both showers.

if you put them in series, i.e join them together in the middle, you wouldnt be able to turn them on and off independently. if you turn one rad valve off you will be stopping the flow of water to both.

id agree with johnD, but to give you a wider view you could go down the route of an unvented cylinder heated by your boiler but delivered via mains pressure. its a bit like the cylinder you have, but without a vent and instead of having the cold supplied to it from the loft, its mains fed...
