    cooker hood

Hi I have a cooker hood/ extractor which simply recycles the air around the kitchen and id like to drill a hole in the wall and send the cremated burger smells outside. Anyone have an idea of anything i should be aware of before i drill a big hole in the wall and where i can get a vent pipe...

    all in one shower units

have you considered a "wet room" or am i way off the mark? Essentially a wet room is a waterproofed (tanked) room usually equipped with a walk in shower. The room itself becomes the shower enclosure, with a drain inset into a gently slopped floor in place of a conventional shower tray so...

    pump rating for showers

if youre putting the pump in the loft, make sure you have sufficient head to activate the flow switches or choose a negative head pump. The last stuart tuner monsoon pump i installed was 3 bar and served 2 bathrooms with pretty good pressure for both showers.

Can I replace a Single Rad with 2 series?

if you put them in series, i.e join them together in the middle, you wouldnt be able to turn them on and off independently. if you turn one rad valve off you will be stopping the flow of water to both.

    Shower / Pump advice

id agree with johnD, but to give you a wider view you could go down the route of an unvented cylinder heated by your boiler but delivered via mains pressure. its a bit like the cylinder you have, but without a vent and instead of having the cold supplied to it from the loft, its mains fed...

    showerpump/hot tank

1050 high by 450 wide is about 120 litres Ive read other posts that suggest about 50 litres of hot per person. so something larger that you have would be an improvement a 2 bar pump should do you, ideally situated next to the hot water cylinder.

Shower Pump on Shared Cold Supply

The valve would not technically be on the input side of the pump. Header >>>>>> tee to pump >>>>>>> check valve >>>>> ensuite the tee feeds the input to the pump and currenly when the pump is used it drains the ensuite pipework. opening a tap in the ensuite causes a pressure drop...

Shower Pump on Shared Cold Supply

Thats an interesting idea, but would it work? Would the pressure remain the same if the pump was before the check valve and the ensuite supply was after it? At the moment i thing that when the pump is on its sucking (impelling) the water out of the ensuite taps along with the water from the...

Shower Pump on Shared Cold Supply

Hi All Ive just installed a techflow turbo 3 pump in a bathroom. The hot supply is a dedicated connection from a tech flange ( i like that word... flange) and the cold is from a separate connection from the cold cistern in the loft, although this connection is supplying the ensuite...
