Are you having a laugh? from the info you have supplied I doubt an Electrician installed a 10500w electric shower on a 32A MCB. DO NOT PUT IN A 45A MCB - Get a qualified electrician to take a look at the circuit and complete remedial work as required.

Can I charge for small electrical jobs?

We need more people like you. You do your trade - we do ours. You tend to find now that everyone knows someone who can do "lectrics" without really having the equipment and knowledge to complete and test an installation.

    adding outside light to shed

You could spur off from the the back of the socket with a switched fuse spur. you can then put the switched fuse spur near the shed door for ease or have it switching via a PIR or dawn to dusk. This way you are not wasting one of your 2 sockets. Just ensure that you correctly rate the fuse...

    CHANGING A DOMESTIC FUSE BOARD

I totally understand I just felt that it was not worth starting a debate in this thread that could make the OP think that pulling the service fuse is acceptable. There are certain safety aspects to follow when pulling the service fuse, I have seen some people wear PPE. Bottom terminals and...

    CHANGING A DOMESTIC FUSE BOARD

The OP asked the legality of removing the service fuse - the question he asked has been answered correctly. Whether or not others do pull the service fuse is irrelevant and maybe something that people do not like to admit or talk about. Its prob not worth starting a debate in this thread...

    CHANGING A DOMESTIC FUSE BOARD

You cannot remove the main service fuse yourself, you will need to contact the DNO - they may as well fit an isolator for future isolation. You can change the CU yourself if you are competent but you must notify your LABC prior to starting the works. You also have to pay their fee. They will...

I have just spent £50 on 9 watt GU10 bulbs from screwfix from the well known manufacturer Sylvania Lighting. I have a house that 15 x 50w GU10s, if they were all on this would pull 750watts. If I had them all on now they would pull 135 watts. OK I won't have them all on at once but it...
