    Never ever ever assume , test the latch or bypass it to eliminate it then you can move onto something else which might have failed It is the biggest mistake in fault finding to assume something is ok and not bothering to test it

    No don't presume, the latch can be faulty and the dishwasher fills up A quick test is to press the door firmly in ( doesn't always work though the latch will need testing or bypassing)

Check for 240v where the lead enters the dishwasher and for voltage after a tranny if it has one , you also see if there are any internal fuses that may have blown too and check them even if they look...
