    RCD Question for a beginner

    Removing a radiator

Just closing the radiator valves does not prove if it is a two or one pipe system. In a one pipe system, there will be a bypass pipe underneath the radiator which allows flow if the radiator is shut.

    telephone extension

The tool does not bare the wire. . What happens is the krone block you push the wire into, cuts the insulation on the wire so it makes a connection. The tool is just for pushing in the wire. On a more expensive tool, the tool pushes and cuts off the excess wire all in one go.

Was the pressure OK before you fitted the mixer? Have you used flexable hose to join the old pipe to the new mixer? The hoses (if fitted) could be too small a bore to let the hot water flow.

3 Phase Ramp - Will it work ?

3 ton for a ramp is alot of weight. I would ask the power rating of the original motor to see if it is worth while to convert to single phase. Most single phase motors max out at 3hp.
