Its a bypass to stop the boiler overheating if all the trv,s shut down. You also have one on some boilers with a low water content heat exchanger. It should only be open a little. Dont shut it fully.
I will have to get some LaCo. I am just lazy and like the fact that with powerflux you do not have to have the copper gleaming before soldering.
I also like the idea of using a match to put the flux on with. The problem with a brush, is it does not fit in the flux tub for storage between...
What do you guys use to put flux on copper tube? I normally use my finger and just dip it in the powerflow flux. My finger by the end of the day looks red raw. (also feels it)
Am I just being soft and in need of some nivea for plumbers  or should I be using something else?
Cheers Carl
I know I am a cheap skate, but I got my last one from a dishwasher that was left down the tip due to it breaking. Nothing wrong with the basket though...
Are you sure the filter was changed? Does the filter look clean compared with the rest of the engine? Some cowboys just rub a rag around the filter and put down on the bill that it has been changed..
Start a fire inside the drum. The metal will expand more than the concrete, helping it to break up. Next time, clean it out. ( I only have to do this when I have lent my mixer to some idiot who does not clean it out properly)
The float switch is on the left hand side of the machine as you look at the front of it. It is towards the front , and it is red in colour. The acutal tank is underneath it.
well, You have found why they are dim.. 7volts is just not enough. Have you tried just one lamp as the load? It looks like the transformer is being loaded too much or faulty and not up to the rated output
