Its a bypass to stop the boiler overheating if all the trv,s shut down. You also have one on some boilers with a low water content heat exchanger. It should only be open a little. Dont shut it fully.

What do you guys use to put flux on copper tube? I normally use my finger and just dip it in the powerflow flux. My finger by the end of the day looks red raw. (also feels it) Am I just being soft and in need of some nivea for plumbers :wink: or should I be using something else? Cheers Carl

Are you sure the filter was changed? Does the filter look clean compared with the rest of the engine? Some cowboys just rub a rag around the filter and put down on the bill that it has been changed..

The float switch is on the left hand side of the machine as you look at the front of it. It is towards the front , and it is red in colour. The acutal tank is underneath it.

well, You have found why they are dim.. 7volts is just not enough. Have you tried just one lamp as the load? It looks like the transformer is being loaded too much or faulty and not up to the rated output

What is the model number? I have a few diagrams for Bosch dishwashers.

Have you got a multimeter? If so measure the volts output from the transformer when the bulbs are on. Post back your results.

Is the temp sensor OK? If the control panel does not see a temp sensor, it never turns he heater on.
