    Vaillant turbomax plus 828E occasional fault " F28 &quo

Better to start your own post mate and list all of the problems/details pertaining to your boiler/situation. Age and exact model of boiler and exact nature of fault. Not being an @rse as I know very little about Valliant boilers just offering advice. Tony

condensate pumps and flues over pavements

It's not a nasty liquid it has the same PH as lemon juice and it can be neutralised by installing a condensafe or similar to the condensate discharge pipe-work but then again I agree you can't just dump it onto the street although someone should have told that to the loads of installers who...

How old is my 20-80 RS Flowmatic vokera?

You could be correct there Tony but I'm sure I was still fitting flowmatics up to about 1996 at least, usually the date of manufacturer is on the PCB.

Sink Mixer Tap with Retractable Pull Out Rinser - recommend?

Don't waste your money mate. I bought one of these about eight years ago from Carron, I think, cost me £340 and the spray stopped working almost immediately and I was constantly fixing it, a total waste of money. I moved house five years ago and at the time I bought a very similar tap to the...

How old is my 20-80 RS Flowmatic vokera?

I was installing them in 1990, I fitted a Flowmatic 24-96 Electronic in my own house in 1992. I'd say the Excel came out about 98 or thereabouts.

Flue position on next door house - is it dangerous?

Resposibility is now with the OP because he knows the implications of his son sleeping in that room. The OP really has to go to a solicitor ASAP and serve a legal notice on the estate agent putting full responsibility onto them. A shocking situtation which I can hardly believe. I recall...

    dripping flue

Probably just condensate dripping out of it, the flue should run up away from the boiler so that the condensate runs back into the boiler but not uncommon my own flue does this. You shouldn't need to top up the pressure if the situation is as I've described above but keep an eye on the...

Bath - what is the height to WASTE OUTLET?

You could always fitt a Sani-flow for the bath and bog, about £350 I think.

    Worcester & Vailliant Condensing Boilers

Depends on which WB boiler your talking about but the CDI series boilers are the quietest boilers I've heard and I think they are the best looking quality boilers in the market. The junior and SI series are frankly rubbish looking, I have no opinions on the sound of them.

    Worcester & Vailliant Condensing Boilers

Approved installers of both companies can offer five year warranties on the boiler, same with Viessmen. Far as I'm aware both manufacturer's boilers 'out of the box' come with two years warranty on the boilers and the prices of both thier product ranges are broadly similar. I've no...

combi boiler & inconsistent water flow to steam cabin

Only ever fitted one steam cabinet, about five years ago, the manufacturer's instructions for that cabinet required 2.5 bar water pressure on the hot an cold which ruled out a combi so an unvented hot water cylinder was installed.

Flue position on next door house - is it dangerous?

What's more important, your family's safety or your morals? I know what I would do and the guy's advice re the lump hammer above is probably the best advice in the thread. BTW, the Transco guy won't give an eff mate he'll just turn it off.

Bath - what is the height to WASTE OUTLET?

Your only chance wrt the WC is to use a wall hung set up or build the floor up, probably have to do the same with the bath waste (build up the floor). Doubt you'll find a height for a bath waste anyway cause you set the height of the bath to fit either a bath panel or the waste and it will...

    Ideal E Type cf 80N

Still sounds like you've no water in the F&E tank in the loft, what's probably happening is that the pump is coming on when you turn up the stat or a demand for heating because you've a pumped heating and gravity hot water system so when the pump's off the boiler stat is satisfied thus turning...

    Ideal E Type cf 80N

Could be anything mate but given the age of the boiler I'd hazard a guess at no water in the F&E tank in the loft. Certainly not the boiler that's for sure. BTW, BG never did a service on that boiler, there's virtually nothing to service other than replacing the thermocouple and cleaning the...
