    Plumbing tool - pipe expander?

The question I never thought to ask is, 'Is their use legit'? You'd reckon if Roth make the tool it would be, but what do the tube makers say I wonder?

    Ecotec F.75.

I have the manual and know what it says- but has anyone actually had this fault occur yet, if so what was the problem? This happened a few minutes after firing the rads for the first time in months. Pressure OK, not the type of customer who could check anything else. Can't get to the customer...

    Plumbing tool - pipe expander?

Blimey! Was only talking about them yesterday. My old mentor used them- makes for a very neat job, especially instead of a coupler on vertical pipes, no tears etc- as long as the expanded bit points up! And I thought I had all the toys I wanted.

Is my plumber ripping me off?

12" of copper! Have they put copper in between lead and lead? If so get them back to dig it out and replace it with mdpe- or grass them up to the Water Supplier!

    Landlords gas safety

I haven't gone out to the van to look- but doesn't the 'Essential Guide' suggest listing the new (less than 12 month appliance) on the CP12 and show it as 'not tested' with the install date etc? Of course, in reality, that appliance could be up to two years old before its actually tested.

Replacement for Acl Lifestyle 2-port motorised valve

Replaced a Drayton 2 port with a Honeywell last week. Perfect fit onto old nuts/olives with a dab of LSX. No such thing as an easy job though- wiring was all squeezed into a tiny box and hard to access. I was thinking, 'I'll cut and connect the fly lead as I'll never get the wires back in'- at...

    Good makes in combi boilers

Not disagreeing with Danny- but maybe you really are ready for a new one, perhaps because the old one really is 'clapped out', needs re-locating or maybe you want the vastly better flow rates that the latest models can offer. Its really all about your budget. I'm a Vaillant man- they're not...

    MagnaCleaner

I've not seen a filter either. Perhaps they've changed them? But wouldn't a filter spoil the idead that it can still achieve full flow even when the magnet is loaded with gunk? We pay 90 inc the vat.

    Gas cooker worktop regulations?

Off the top of my head its 20mm either side for a low level or hob to combustible material, but can be over ridden by manufacturers instructions. Hob upwards (still on a low level) 50mm to the side then up 760. Remember the emphasis is on combustible and MI's override. Different again with a...
