I have a constant ratio applicator that I can set to 0.2% / 0.5% / 1.0% / 2.0% It's how much I mix with water to create the solution to use with applicator that is making my head hurt The instructions are : Application Rates: Liquid Feed Application: Used in the same way as other water-soluble...

    Mathematics help

Any mathematicians here ? Thinking of using a High Phosphours feed for my lawn. I want to apply from constant ratio applicator (Aquamix) which I can set to 0.2% / 0.5% / 1.0% / 2.0% ... that is the % of liquid feed to water. The feed is in soluble granules, so I would need to pre-mix with...

    Over-Painting steel tubing

This is under a year old …. I bought it after ‘rave reviews’ …it’s solid construction but poor finish. Can’t afford to lay out on replacement, hence wanting to ‘touch up the paint’. The top section slides into lower section with little clearance, plus it rotates. So no option to use a thick...

    Over-Painting steel tubing

It's annoying that product is less than a year old, and is intended for outdoor use and the paint finish not up to it. As it's only failed in places I don't want to strip the whole lot back to back metal.

    Over-Painting steel tubing

Removing all the paint is not an option, far too much work to do that.

    Over-Painting steel tubing

I don’t think it’s zinc coated, due to rust in places. It is outdoors and it is black, appreciate your comment, but don’t want to change the colour. Will ‘Ferrous preservative primer’ work on top of paint. ? I’d agree that SS in 316 grade be much better, but could not find one in SS. Agree...

    Over-Painting steel tubing

I have a an adjustable steel hand rail …. This is 2” steel tubes which have a Matt black finish ….I think it’s paint, as no flaking which happens with powder coat. Photo of new item attached. It was supposed to be for outside use for Hot Tubs …. In less than 9 months it’s rusting...

    Enclosure recommendation .

exactly why I trying to choose the right box to use. Pregnant plug type USB & similar PSUs are in effect in sealed boxes, they rely on the surface of the plastic itself dissipating the heat. Alternative thought would be a small 2 way breaker box ... something like an unpopulated one of these...

    Enclosure recommendation .

normally I'd agree .. but IP5 for example allows for limited ingress. Something as good as consumer unit ... with from flap close dust does not get into any great degree. Just concerned about putting a switch mode psu in a sealed box, maybe some is aware of some with vents

    Enclosure recommendation .

Small project undeway. Need a surface mount plastic box, to mount a couple of electrical modules. Not huge …. Not much bigger than a 2 gang box or cooker switch. Not much in the way of heat output, but some ventilation would make sense. Would like the enclosure to be dust proof but no need for...

    Remote Relay

OK thanks. Back to original Q on a small 12V psu. I have some hub & router adapters so have those as an option, just larger and more power output than needed. DC to DC be easy with a tiny buck converter Guess I could go with one of these - seems overkill. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165553353780
