We used to use 400Hz fluorescent fittings in machine shops to prevent the stroboscopic effect.

    New Mobile Phone...Don't Laugh!

I upgraded a few weeks ago from a Samsung S8+ which has serious screen burn due to using as a satnav. I went for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, dual sim/SD card, 512Gb memory, 6.9" screen, S-pen which is invaluable to me for work purposes. Keeping the S8+ as just a satnav.

Hanging a door in out of square frame

If you take 8mm off you will have a horribly large gap. Check the jambs for plumb and straightness with a long level (1800mm). Sounds like you only need to trim the lower edge of one side.

    Festool chop saw burnout.

Ditto. But I wouldn't be without KS120. Or any of my other Festool gear. By the way, where do you get Festool blades sharpened?

Yet another cordless power tool question

I am still using my 12v Milwaukee batteries from 2008. Trade use, so well abused. Can't fault any of their stuff, had 28v and now mainly 18v. Up to 12Ah batteries. 9" grinder is a brute. SDS drill handles a 4½" core drill well.

    Will stop/start save petrol?

My car lives in Sport mode. Stops the annoying little beggar. This Stop/Start thing is to tick a box for car manufacturers. They don't care about you having to buy replacement parts prematurely.

    Milwaukee Thread

It's a question of whether it is economically viable to waste time on it. What's your time worth? Could take you 2 - 3 hours plus parts.

How do i remove the cartridge from this wall tap?

I have asked a friend of mine who used to work at Saneux. If he comes back with anything I will update. Looking at those last pictures, I would suggest that the brass bit is just stuck on the splines. Get your grips and try and pull it out whilst gently wiggling it. Edit: just looked a bit...

Do that and you'll wreck the thread. How does it fit into the cartridge? Post photo of new part.

    Core drill and SDS?

I have a Makita 240v and a Milwaukee M18-CHPS which are both capable of 117mm cores. Can't remember when the corded one last came out of the van.
