    As you say , the brown and blue are the 230 vAC inputs and the orange pair are the AC outputs ( to the PCB ) the reading on these should be about 18 vAC.

    The transformer output is AC , so its not important which way round they go.Just look for the 2 terms marked AC.

    Yes , I think it just acts as another RKP on the ADE system, and the relay contacts are to integrate with other kit.

    Accenta G4 alarm & garage door

    You need to find out how this relay will operate , but usually you would connect it across the garage detector NC terminals , so when you press the remote to open the door , the detector is bypassed ( or shunted) , giving you time to disarm the alarm.

    Have a look at the gap between the frame and the top of the door , on most of them its bigger than you think.

    You don't say how many zones you require , but if less than 8 , have a look at the Cascade Avanti comes with a prox RKP as standard, but to be honest , you get more features for the extra money if you go for the Tex Premier.

    You don't necessarily require an engineer.You need the engineers code and an installation manual.Have a good read through the manual , and if you feel confident , give it a go!. Have a look at ukpanels website , they have manuals , and lots of patience.

    Temporary disconnect PIR

    You haven't told us what panel , but generally , open panel , internal alarm sounds , key in user code , alarm stops , remove the wires going into the 12+v supply terminal.Now you can remove the PIR without the fuse blowing.Make a note of where the wires go ( take a picture if poss ).
