    I would guess you have blown a fuse.I would double check your repair before replacing fuse tho. Fuse = 20mm 1 amp quick blow ( there may be a spare inside the case )

    The system will not set with a zone fault , so check to see if any zones are lit , and find out why.You can force a quick set by pressing SET whilst the exit timer counts down. Don't forget that when setting up the ex / ent timers that 01 is 10 secs 02 is 20 secs etc.

    The Texecom Odessey is a good range of bellbox, just pick your preferred shape. The Accenta will require re-programming , but the default prog is usually sufficient.

    Hi , I would recommend quad pirs over dual techs , contacts are just to detect a door opening , whereas a shocker would detect someone kicking or banging on the door (I would think contacts would be sufficient). I would recommend mains smokes just incase the alarm fails for any reason ...

    That is an engineer programmable function , so you would need the engineer code , if you don't have this you will have to reset the panel back to default settings ( its all in the installer manual).

    The PA8 is just a rebranded ADE Optima , try removing the mains and the back-up battery , then fire it up mains first, enter user code to silence (if it doesnt work try 0123), reconnect battery , close panel and RESET .

    Assuming all the devices are in working order , yes.The only problem you may have , is if it is an ADE Concept , then the PA and zone 1 are wired from the keypad and not from the main box, so a little rewiring required. I would recommend the Texecom Veritas R8 control panel and the Odessey...

    You should press your landlady to get this sorted for you , it is her equipment.If you choose to default the panel , there is a chance the engineer code has been locked making the panel unprogrammable. The default user code is 5678.

    The alert you mention is called a CHIME , and can be dissabled by the user , but the method is different depending on whether you have a LED (red display info) or LCD (text screen).Once you know what keypad you have , search for the user guide..its freely available.

    Sometimes its difficult to avoid pointing detectors at problem areas.Most modern detectors are very tolerant to these problems, just pick a good quality detector , a quad preferably , mount it correctly and seal any holes,and it should be fine.
