    Dimmer switch flickering

can a badly painted wall burn a house down ? does bubbles in a wallpaper give you an electric shock ?? i am guessing by your name you are an electrician, seems strange that you take this stand. i wonder how many lighting circuits have had people pull off a socket in a roof space, or re...

Cold rads intermittent boiler - PLEASE HELP

does not matter which you use. also open the hot water to might as well fill it all correctly. ideally place a piece of copper in the both valves say 4 inch long.. then using a push fit straight coupling into the hose. you could then swop them as you see fit also you can test the system...

    Radiator problems

what sort of temperature is the water coming out of the boiler. ?? sounds strange that a new system would do this .was all the pipework changed or re used. if re used was it checked for sludge etc .. this can build up and cause problems later in life.

Cold rads intermittent boiler - PLEASE HELP

open the zone valves manually to check them. using the steel lever on the side.. depending on the model. and yes you can do this alone .. if the tank over flows it should escape down the over flow pipe if fitted correctly.

Old C/H boiler with no room thermostat

as above the thermostat controls a zone valve, might be better to buy a controls pack and get some one to fit that for you. alternatively place a timer on the plug and turn down the boiler stat. this would give you heating for a couple of hrs during the time you are away .

    Water in heating system boiling

    central heating electrics problem

remove the 13 amp... should be a 3 amp... all separate plug heads . best temporary way is plug the boiler in. plug the pump in . manually open the zone valves. the heating will work then only on the boiler stat but will get you through xmas.. this is purely temporary and should be...

Cold rads intermittent boiler - PLEASE HELP

sounds like an air lock in the primaries or seized pump. its very hard to tell without seeing it . but i would go for air.. i would say it is coming to temp and the boiler stat is shutting the boiler down. after 10 min it has cooled enough for the boiler to re light. then off it goes...
