all i can think is remedy the boiler faults .. re pipe the gas/flush the boiler and inhibitor/fit scale inhibitor nice little job .. :) wish they all was this easy . :) also report who ever fitted it .. :)

i like the 105 he model... good solid boiler... we fit em for local councils and have done so for couple of years now. i think we have had a problem with a couple .. 1 % maybe ...

there is also a measurement from a wall too .. me thinks it is 300 ..

in sheffield our council uses plastic screws in the switches .. and bans the use of metal fittings .. i guess its cheaper than re wiring lol.

yes there is a removable key .. so it is not permanantly fitted.

i ptfe the copper faces.. usually fine .. dont over tighten but most important leave the fittings accesible

if it is an old shower .. it will probably leak as they are not designed for mains pressure.. (even though it is pumped .. ) as above get a shower for the job usually £200 ish and pipe straight into the hot and cold feeds ..

i would recomend a powerflush and treatment ..

i would add some .. possibly better if u add the same as was originally fitted so as not to mix .. :) to do it right add a cleanser and run for 24 hrs then add inhibitor ... i use fernox f1/f3

2 different boilers .. worster are internal . ideal external.. :)

who ever altered the pipes should be able to fix it for you .. 1 way is to back fill it .. ie: use a hose pipe and fill from a drain off remeber to watch for the tank in the roof over flowing .. there are various ways of doing it .. some better than others ..

This one's a nice, simple, wall-mounted balanced flue boiler with a whacking great two-piece exchanger so yes i would go for air lock .

check around the boiler for a silver flexi pipe... some boilers have integral loops.. so really we need boiler model .. so we can help . :) oops sorry model in title .
