    Isolate F+E tank?

Yeah your right but its not for me, but a tight mate... All i'm asking is how often the tank should fill up. If it filled every day would that mean there was a leak or that normal? For instance...

Lay carpet before or after fitting skirting boards?

Further to this and to steal a thread thats not been replied to for a few days... I'm currently trying to choose a carpet for bedroom landing and stairs. I was going to skirting board before carpeting but this sounds better carpetting before hand. Presumably this gives a 'less accurate cut'...

Drained Heating system- Now rads are only warm.

Not a plumber, but it will take longer the first time due to the room temperature water now being replaced with cold stored or mains water, so the boiler has to do more work the first time after a refill of the system. But the next time should be ok. Obviously if this is not the case with yours...

Its definitely cold water getting into the hw through this shower valve. I isolated cold to said shower and hot taps hot again. Open isolation with tap open and flow to tap increases and it goes cold. You can hear it flowing through isolation valve as you open it up. The key to the answer...

Its funny you say this. Ive just got out the shower. Still had to heavily gag in but I decided to leave it running when I got out and try the HW tap in the same bathroom (I'd tried this tap 10mins earlier with shower off and luke warm) and its hot! Very hot indeed! Yey! I then put...

Two monoblock mixers downstairs. One bathroom upstairs with a monoblock on the basin and a thermostatic bath/shower diverter mixer, wouldnt say was excessive? How would I check the temp coming from the boiler accurately? I know the routes of all pipes within the house. I'm not sure how cold...

Hello, I have all monoblock mixers and themostatic mixer on bath and shower. So I isolated a cold water service valve on a kitchen monoblock and timed on HW only between 42 and 44 seconds... I understand heating energy must be going somewhere, presumably its just not efficient? It used to better...
