    Architrave around UPVC Sash Windows

Ok understand that you’re concerned about the potential damage. 1) check frames haven’t been compromised and screwed into. 2) solvent glue can be removed from frames . 3) Your joiner should know how to marry up to the upvc line including a plastic or wooden trim. 4) Good luck.

    Architrave around UPVC Sash Windows

It’s shocking I hope you haven’t paid him yet.Your architrave is far to small. You could do to speak with the builder and ask him to employ a joiner to finish off the window. I’m interested to find out what the original specification for the job was.

Hi Ash, soakaways we’re very much used in the building of properties in the 1930s . However section 24 sewerage law for properties built before October 1937 might help you.Is your property taking a neighbours surface water or foul waste through your drainage system ? New bathroom window in side wall.

Good evening Char, as my post earlier you can fit up to 1000 x 1000mm however to comply with fire regs you need a sprinkler system installed because of the boundary line. Considering it’s a bathroom window access to water to provide said system should be straight forward. A lot of rules and regs...

New bathroom window in side wall.

Ok, so if I’ve got this right proposed window above bath left hand side as we look at pictures. There will be tile damage ,new reveals and some reinforcement across the top of the window it’s awkward but doable. It’s a shame really because you could have put one were the extractor is but I think...

Repairing damaged external wooden window frames

Good morning aex, do the wood repairs as jobandknock suggested. Your windows have been stained with a mahogany colour. Sand down rigorously to get back to the wood. Sikkens basecoat of rosewood and 2 topcoats will bring them back to new. As for the glass, the units have failed, simply replace...
