Hi ive got the above oven while it was on this evening the house electics tripped, ive switched the power back on but the oven is totally dead is this the oven element ?

I would guess its an alpha 280p and it needs a new diaphram

gassafeengineer are you having a laugh one of the easiest boilers to repair. opp its sounds like your burners pressures need checking /resetting need a gas safe engineer to do this .

Sounds like you are pressing the override button on a drayton wireless roomstat receiver. Follow the instructions to commision roomstat /receiver might just have lost its signal, could be need new batterys in room stat or may need new one.

Out of the boilers in the list i would go for the baxi duotec or potterton gold same boiler but get 3 year warranty with potterton,v reliable boilers . Also look at the vaillant ecotec if your want a top of the range boiler.

Id go for the main which is the same boiler as the 105 but cheaper, dont like betacom myself.

Im with chris on this pretty sure its the primary thermistor bringing it on in frost stat mode.

There is a overheat stat which will need resetting i would try this first.

To prove the timer is at fault there are four blue wires going to clock link the two with the smaller spades together.if the boiler then works with the lever pushed to the right then the clock is faulty.

Dont think they can once you have a bad experience you dont go back at least i dont . Made mistake ov fitting ideal eyesores twice wouldn't fit any boilers they make now.

Gas4you thats your opinion but i honestly dont think these are bad boilers at all .Have fitted them for the last two years can count on my hand the number that have gone down.

Both are the same boiler as is the duotec you just pay extra for baxi warranty on platinum, disagree with gas4you think they are good boilers.
