This is all the wires connected apart from 2 from the room stat and the programmer. This is the room stat with the cover off.

Sorry Matt just read ur post bout the room stat bout it having 2 black cores it looks like the 2nd one on both sides the stat and the ones in the block have black sleeves on them.

Right finally got one but gonna start fresh in the morning so will upload the pics in the morning :)

Well just gonna pop to screw fix to get a meter as will be handy to have it then I will take a pic once removed.

Wired it all up and it was the same as before, until I turned the room thermostat on and it blew. Switched the two black wires from the room stat round and this time it did not blow but also doesn't work with out the water heating. Will take a photo in the morning, don't know what else to try?!?!?!

D Hailsha, it's a back boiler in the wall? Would that mean that you have given us the correct diagram? Matt, we have already taken all the wires out :( Do you have a diagram of how you think it should be?

That looks pretty clear............................... only we cannot tell which wire is from the room thermostat and which is from the boiler? Any Ideas????

Right, unfortunately we are victims of a DIY enthusiast!!!! He installed all electrics and plumbing for the STREET!!!!! Everybody else has had new plumbing/electrics over the years, where as unfortunately we have not. Please can someone explain what is wrong, or if the whole lot needs redoing...

Just to help you identify, the green and yellow wire connected to terminal 4 is also connected to the grey wire in the Honeywell block.

Right I just checked the wires on the tiara and there is a wire connected to the 3rd terminal see pic below also don't have a multimeter yet am looking at this one http://www.screwfix.com/prods/34028/Electrical-Supplies/Electricians-Tools/Circuit-Testers/Pocket-Digital-Multimeter will it do the job?

Right now I get you sorry for the confusion. I set it to fully pumped and it still shuts of once water is heated.

Hey thx for all the replies it has a motorised 3port valve and I have a Horstmann 425 Tiara Programmer.

I wish it was that easy when we had plumbers in about 2 years ago they said we needed a new pump which works fine you can hear it going and feel it working but just switches off with when the water is hot enough.

Hi for a few years now we have not had our c/h working that well and was always told that it was the programmer well I got it changed today we have a gravity system now we cant have the c/h on with out have the hot water on but the problem is as soon as the hot water is fully heated it switches...
