Thank you for your reply kjacko. I didn't take the photos. I am now told they were not taken with a phone but with a digi camera and put on 'Facebook' and that photos on there are compressed and that is why they can't be enlarged. Sorry I didn't give you the full info,

The man from Thames water has just been Nigel and the outside stop cock was under a bush between our and next door gardens. He said the pipes leading into the house could be in various places, so it may be one of the taps in the garage. But at least we can now turn off the water from outside.
