    Thank you for your reply. I am burning a Video with music and I use Cyberlink or Windows DVD maker. I have tried burning it on to DVD+R and when I put it in the DVD player it shows on the screen but when I press 'play' I just get the music and no visuals.

    I use Maxwell DVD-R. I have always used them for dubbing DVDs on the DVD recorder and they have always played OK. It is a Sony HXD890 DVD Recorder and it is just over a year old.

    I have burned a video to DVD but can only play it on my computer. I am unable to play it on my DVD player. I get a message "Can't play". I thought perhaps it wasn't finalised but I can't see an option to do this.

    Problem solved. We had a gas fitter in and he found the feed pipe from the tank in the loft wasn't sloping enough.

    The first time we bled the one in the bathroom it worked OK for a while but now we get neither air or water out of the bleed valve Mick.

    Pipes near boiler are hot when CH and water are not on

    No phone in the room last night Johnboy but we still got the bleeping at 1.00 am. It was coming from the socket. Phoned BT. They say it is a fault in the exchange and will be fixed today. She had never heard of a socket bleeping without having anything plugged in before.

    Even stranger. I unplugged the bedrrom phone last night and left the cord lying on the floor. At 1.00 am as usual we got the "bleep bleep bleep ...." from the unplugged phone. We have no cordless phones and my broadband modem is plug in so goodness knows what is going on.
