    (Not) Using Speedfit inserts

Never use super seal inserts on compression fittings. They will pop eventually. I made this painful mistake. If having to use plastic pipe, I prefer hepworth when used with compression fittings because you can fit the metal inserts and they don't protrude too much = lots of pipe in fitting...

    small oil boiler

We fit a number of houndsfield boiler. Real good kit. Designed how a boiler technician would design a boiler.....because it is designed by boiler technicians. Not like other companies that 'take on board comments from boiler technicians' and then go for easiest/cheapest option.

    Central Heating Poor Installation

Sorry. I disagree with any of the 'well done for not paying' comments. If you purchase something off eBay that you want but can't see it, you pay up front and if it's not what you want because its 'not as described' then you have to request a return but only of its faulty or not as...

    Replacement Gas Boiler

Personally I'd go a 200 series system boiler. 200l unvented. Have all rads removed and washed out. System then filled and cleansed. Drained, refilled. SYstem filter added and a line strainer for belt/braces. Buy the Full 10yr warranty for the boiler. Jobs a carrot....and about a...

    Water Hammer

The blatant thing would be a bit if debris getting into a float operated shut off valve. Probably in the new stuff the neighbour has had fitted This will cause it to not shut correctly and bang like a mofo If it was fine before the works.....how can it be related to pressure....they...

    Can't repressurise expansion vessel

I've had this before. I would remove the Schrader valve core and try to recharge it then. Obviously it would hold but there will be nothing restricting the air entering the ev. If that works, you need a new core. If it doesn't......then the likely culprit is the hose from the ev to he...
