Gents, I am looking to skim a small room in our house, what i need to know is when plastering round the external corners (box section covering pipes), do i need to use beading or can i just plaster round the existing corner? The corners themselves are in good order, no major pieces...

Its is just this light, all other lights in the house are fine. The bulbs i have bought are not cheap and are for 240v supply. I have tried a range of bulbs from standard 60w bulbs to the new style energy saving bulbs, all blow after a few hours of use. I am totally stumped on this...
