    Number of points served

That's fine, but why the six-socket limitation for a 30A radial which is capable of supplying the same amount of power?

    When considering in or out:

Indeed - The idea is to gradually create the idea of being "European" as a distinct identity which is to be regarded as being "above" being British, French, German, or whatever. Just like the old Soviet Union wanted everybody to regard themselves as being Soviet citizens rather than Russian...

    Number of points served

The original 14th edition says a 20A radial may serve up to six sockets in a single room not exceeding 300 sq. ft., only two sockets if a kitchen. The 13th edition as amended to 1963 says a 20A radial may serve a maximum of three sockets in a single room not exceeding 200 sq. ft., again only...

    Electrics meter

The latter. Since the seals have been broken and it's already been moved, there's absolutely no point in removing it or putting it back where it was. Personally, I would advise them in a letter (printed and posted, not e-mail), setting out the reasons why your electrician moved it - That...

    Electrics meter

Thanks - That's a good laugh to start off the morning! :) That's something we don't have here. If you're in PG&E territory then PG&E maintains the distribution infrastructure, provides metering, and sends you the bill; here in Redding we have a city-owned electric utility so the city...

    Number of points served

Under the older rules which put a specific limit on the number of sockets on a 20 or 30A radial circuit, a twin socket used to be counted as two.

    Electrics meter

Yes - Distribution Network Operator - The company which maintains the network in your area and is responsible for getting power as far as the service head in your home. Seems odd that they didn't move the meter at the same time, as they always used to, but perhaps policies have changed in the...

    Electrics meter

They may well not be happy about it. So who actually moved the service head? Was it a new cable laid in by the DNO, or did your electrician just move it a small amount on the existing cable? Or did the DNO provide a new feed, leaving the old one in place which you now need to have removed...

    smart meters

Until somebody returns early, or something else crops up and a friend or family member needs to go and collect the vehicle from the airport for some reason. And what about the extra charge/discharge cycles being put on the batteries? Some of those electric vehicle battery replacements...

    When considering in or out:

Ultimately, I think it may be a possibility in few more decades when the EU has taken over almost complete control of everything. That's not right either.

    When considering in or out:

I said it's a possibility. But then as you just said: The EU is already very much a socialist organization in many ways. Whether there were any such confidential documents I have no idea, but he's entirely correct about the way the EU is headed and how it must be stopped. Also entirely...

    Electrics meter

As asked already, to whom are you paying? If you haven't set up an account with a supplier (in which case the supplier fits the meter) there's nobody to pay. Anyone can fit a meter which will register how much power is being used, but that's not the way it's done.

    McD's Prices

Of all the burger chains, McD is the least desirable to me. Burger King has much better burgers and fries, as does Wendy's (don't think there are any of those left in the U.K. now). We have a chain restricted to the Western states and mostly California here known as In'n'Out Burger which is...

    When considering in or out:

No, just that I thought the evidence of the U.K.'s membership of the this "club" so far is the pretty obvious reason for believing that it will continue to get worse. If that's not so, then I'm sure durhamplumber will explain.

Wouldn't it make more sense to want the green showing to the front? That way the plain yellow wires are easier to dinstinguish from the earths.
