Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

It's a brand new Drayton TRV that I had free with the radiator. I've had it off and turned it on to make sure that it does flow, I've flushed the system with every radiator but that one isolated, in even concerned that albeit by directional (or so it says online) I've got it on the wrong end of...

Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

The831Bunny... you sir are a genius.... I span the pump shaft, and it began working but didn't ignite still... so, I turned the boiler off and heard the water bubbling again in the boiler..... so, (rightly or wrongly) with the boiler running I purged the air from the AAV and with a whoosh, a...

Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

So, the problems just keep coming.. I've refilled the system, bled all the air... gone to turn the boiler on and nothing's happening. I'm guessing there is power getting to it as the led in the switch is on, but when I set the boiler to CH on nothing happens. I get a slight hum coming from the...

Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

Managed to get some pliers on it, it looked plastic.... but got it to spin and did have a small amount of air, then water. Just to confirm it's ontop of a small tank in the right hand side at the back of the boiler. Have just drained it all down again to get rid of cleaner so will refill and...

Air in my Vaillant Boiler help..

Hi there.. Further to my previous thread, (I don't know how to delete it, sorry). I am firing the boiler up and although it still isn't igniting I can hear the water gurgling, which I guess suggests that there is air in it... How on earth do I get that out..?? I was thinking I could attach my...

Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

Hmm I don't know if there is a reset button.. It seems prehistoric to ones I see these days but it works really well, normally. It didn't run while it was empty, and with regards to pressure.... Im always nervous of upping it above that red line.. Do you think Id be ok to up it? Do you know if...

Boiler not firing up after refill...help please

Hi there.. So, after flushing my boiler system to release what appears to have been an airlock in some pipework for my new radiator...(previous threads), I have today gone and bought some Central heating cleaner. Added it via a radiator, filled the system up, bled the radiators and the pump via...

Issue with new rad staying cool at the bottom

I thought thought that balancing controlled the heat of the radiators so as it was even over all the radiators. I don't think anything is flowing out through the trv side of my new radiator. Would that still be solved with balancing?

Issue with new rad staying cool at the bottom

It is yep. I did fall foul to that when I fitted it. That's fully open. I've not used a trv before, have since fitted another and it's fine. Just seems weird that nothing seems to be getting through it...

Issue with new rad staying cool at the bottom

It's a complete new, larger rad so I have extended the pipework but only to fit the new width, but yes the old radiator did get hot.

Issue with new rad staying cool at the bottom

Issue with new rad staying cool at the bottom

I've just fitted a new radiator with Drayton TRV and lockshield. I understand that the valves are bi flow and so for ease of access the TRV is on the right of the radiator. The radiator is heating up but is staying cool at the bottom and I have lifted the floorboard at the trv end and that is...
