    Toilet waste question

Most waste pipes from coming from a floor are on ground floor and boxed in or in bungalows and covered in cement,so i doubt it can e moved. So its usually a case of putting a baton behind the cistern to achieve correct position. Dont use a flexi if you can aavoid it , it is just an expensive...

    Magnaclean valves

We fitted one to a large system which we routinely clean once a month and the valves seem fine to me, very easy to operate. Not a 28mm one though but sure they are all similar

The "angled top" box to left of pump, seen one before, also near a pump, which i had to change. When i refilled had a few probs so i carefully undid the screws on the top and lifted the lid, got a gush of water out and seemed to clear the problem i was having. I ws very careful and just lifted it...

    Gas fitter murdered

So basically, after 2pm on a friday its not worth stopping a gas leak as its just too damn inconveniant for the landlord as it cant be turned on again till 9 am monday. Far easier just to let the building cath fire and let the tenants burn to death or if theyy are ucky a big explosion will take...

Basic plumbing connection questions for bathroom suite

    1) 15 mm is best from combi to all outlets, so if possible replace all 22mm with 15 mm pipe. 2) just use a 15mm inline isolation valve 3)personally ,for a diy job use plastic pipe, but you must use pipe inserts on all plastic to plastic connections, plastic to copper does not req inserts and...

    Not fast enough...

After that conversation i would be reluctant to turn up at all, dont like people who think you owe them something or are making demands before you have even met them or done work for them. Part of quoting for jobs for me was to see if the potential customer was someone i could get along with...

    Condensing or Combi Boiler

Sadly your friends who had pipes fitted above the skirting boards have been ripped off by lazy cowboys who couldnt be arsed to take up the carpets and floorboards, the pipes under the floor were probably fine and would last for many years to come.I doubt they even lookeed at them. I hate firms...

Celtic FF. No Hot Water. Any ideas?

It could be a problem with the microswitch on the right hand side of the boiler.(in a black plastic box) but not sure if this usually leaves you with no heating. We have one of these on the patch and have to adjust this switch every 3-4 months , but never have a problem with owt else. sure...

    Radiator Supplier

I like rettig permo rads from pts, look nice , cheap to buy and decent brackets which can be fitted to give you 2 options as to what gap you like between rad and wall. Hate screw fix and b&q (biasi) rads, cheap brackets.
