If it's like the PolyPipe system remember you need to have it pressurised while thye floor is drying. I ran mine at 60 psi and used a dry mix of screed followed by a resin based sealer / self leveler and it's been fine. Regards - J

You don't say petrol / diesel. As a starter for 10 - Crank position sensor failing due to heat soak i.e. ok while running and air is flowing through the engine bay, when you stop temps rocket. If it's petrol - ignition modules etc. More info please. Regards - J

The most likely cause is a bad connection (pin not clean, screw not tight etc). This would cause the connection to be high resistance which would generate heat (as you've found). I'd be tempted to replace both the plug and the socket. Regards - JB

How did you clean the filters ? The one on the side of the motor can be washed and the one on top is best cleaned with compressed air. Even though they look clean airflow may not be what it should be and hence the overheating. Regards - JB

You can rule out sticking thermostat because the temp shows normal when driving around. The most likely cause is loss of pressure and the most likely culprit is the expansion tank cap. Go to halfrauds and get a new one. Regards - JB
