    you could be forxcing it to much once you get to a slid edge stop then use the filler to seal that edge to stop it going anymore i think the cloudy patches could be something reacting with the emulsion such as niccotine or something before you emulsion id use a oil based under coat on the cloudy...

    yes you can paint over vinal paper with normal emulsion its easier to use embossed paper if you always fancy a change as you can keep repainting embossed paper :wink:

    things like doors and hand rails id use oil based much more hard wearing than water based even tho water based is easier to apply

    give it a good shake to get the guts off the bottom then a good sturing mixing it all in it helps to give it the odd stir while ur painting aswell :wink:
