    Mother earth always wins Your'e right there ,since they shut all the pits up here and turned all the pumps off we have major flooding in the fields when it rains heavy, nowhere for the water to go.

    I think mine was more to do with the ground conditions of the abandoned pit , nearby 100 + ohms is the norm and the whole area is TT. The gardens are constanly wet and the houses damp.

    And is your loft a ring final or a 4mm supply to have a 32a breaker. Not being sarky just concerned your install is ok.

    I had one 40 ohms then down to six ohms when the water pipe was connected , old lead water main run under a row of terraced houses close to an old pit head.

    If it's nice and neat and you insulate it well from any casings etc it will be fine. If you are not confident get someone to do it for you.

    Totaly depends on the situation you are fitting them in . Check the articles in wiring matters on thr IET site or the relevant building reg . They are not required in all situations. Edit to add the floors may have adequate fire protection in the contruction .

    And if the 10mm is tied below the swa it's going to be just about bullet proof anyway, unless a digger gets it- then the lots gone anyway :)

    Presuming the electrical system was ok before and we don't know the skill level of the installer it could be a lot of things, I agree with you though ;thats why I was concerned about the wiring and terminations being correct. Water flow is probably the easy option.

    Also - did you flush the water supply before you commissioned the shower, you may have blocked the filter. Ps are all the connections "proper" and tight.
