if they have left the bolts screw them back in several turns then tap bolt head with a hammer this pushes nut back hopefully releasing the wall anchor :)

sorry its taken so long to reply ...christmas and all that. i`ll try to answer some of your points 1)sometimes on older roofs the mitre cut would`nt be that neat so the lead slate would be extended to cover the whole of the tile and be visible so all the slates should be cut identically just...

hi seneca,the small ridge tiles are called baby ridge/hip tiles type this in google and you get a good list of suppliers, as regards using lead i`ve seen this method used on slate roofs and vertical tiling and depending on how well the lead slates are cut gives a good result...

it looks like a repair to an asphalt roof, the tape is called scrim and is used with a waterproof resin as reinforcement.you might get away with applying another coat of resin, best purchased from a good roofing supplier,5lt tin should do it just brush on like thick paint,ask for aquapol or...
