Advice on circular saw for a gift

I too would feel a bit uneasy buying quite a dangerous tool for someone with seemingly little experience in DIY. The blades on these tools can inflict significant injury in a split second. Perhaps just take that into consideration.

    Patio Channel Drainage Query

I did my riven sandstone at 1:60, I would definitely use 1:80 if I could do it again. It bugs me. Castacrete specify 1:80 http://www.castacrete.co.uk/guidance-and-tips

    Patio Channel Drainage Query

I'd always try and direct water away from the house where possible. What does the outlet of the bottle gulley connect into? BTW, does the stone manufacturer specify 1:60 or can you use 1:80? It's a bit less noticeable.

Advice on circular saw for a gift

They are, but you want all your tools to be the same make so they all use the same batteries ideally.

Added Inhibitor but still getting hydrogen in radiators.

I did all that work over a few days which involved lots of bleeding, so can't be sure at which point the hydrogen stopped. But I haven't had a problem since. I'm guessing the installer didn't clean the system properly. It was a Worcester combi btw, so aluminium heat exchanger.

What a waste of time and materials.

Added Inhibitor but still getting hydrogen in radiators.

I was getting hydrogen build up in a new install, confirmed by collecting and igniting! Ran sentinel cleaner (can't remember which one) through it, refilled and drained a few times, then fill with inhibitor and fine ever since.

    Scale reducer units

Interested in this, and the only one that convinces me so far that it might do something is the polyphosphate type like the combimate.

    Lighting Circuit Advice

You'll have a lighting circuit already, maybe even two (upstairs/downstairs) you'd extend off this. It's just a radial circuit.

Dulux Trade Diamond vs Dulux Easy Care

Just based on the dulux FAQ, I'd probably use the kitchen and bathroom specific ones if they were a different colour to what I already had. No idea on the formulation difference though or if it's just marketing. FYI, I was painting a utility room and a WC. Q: Can I use Dulux Easycare Washable &...

Dulux Trade Diamond vs Dulux Easy Care

I've just painted a couple of room in easy care and it was lovely to use, very happy with the finish and I'm fussy! Have wiped the odd bit down and it came up lovely and clean. Impressed and will be using it again. Would normally get from Wickes with 10% but had to go to B&Q for the colour.

    Baxi Combi Boiler- short cycling

You have the exact same symptoms as we had as far as I can tell. I tried sentinel x800 which improved things very marginally. In the end a replacement dhw heat exchanger resolved it. Old unit was well scaled up. Cost me £80 for the part and about £60 to get it fitted.

I'd suspect secondary heat exchanger is scaled up.
