standard of tiling on new roof

The first thing I noticed was the tile choice on a low pitch roof. You need to measure the pitch of the rafters, but it looks around 15 degrees to my eye. I wouldn't fit a tile that wasn't suitable for the pitch. I'd guess the muck will wash off. The cuts down that bonding cutter, dear me :(

DIY Lead Flashing - Opinions Please?

I'm a DIY'er so grateful for anything learnt on here from those that know better. I've only seen diagrams of stepped trays like that previously posted, so useful to know there's a better way, thank you.

It's not water getting into the cavity though?

    Dpm for retaining wall

We painted the rear face of ours in bitumen paint and sandwiched gravel with geo fabric. The visible face has stayed very dry.

DIY Lead Flashing - Opinions Please?

I'm failing to understand what a cavity tray has got anything to do with this issue. The water isn't running down the cavity. Could you explain fully @datarebal ?

Mortar Ratio & Sand Type for Single Course of Bricks

I've just not tried to lay bricks with it, but I know it's not as nice to use.

Mortar Ratio & Sand Type for Single Course of Bricks

If I was doing this, I'd use normal bricklaying mortar (something like soft sand 5:1) and stick some pieces of roof tile in the thick beds as @tony1851 suggested.

Mortar Ratio & Sand Type for Single Course of Bricks

You could add some SBR to the mix!

Mortar Ratio & Sand Type for Single Course of Bricks

Maybe it would be easier to lay some timber bearers and pack them to level? Or adjustable pedestals like building a deck?

    Cladding with Redland vertical tiles

I was more wondering why it hangs lower. I'm not a roofer, but I think that's a trick to avoid slithers and is fine. Some of the other tiles are cut I guess to again avoid slithers which makes the bond pattern a bit off.

Had the same tiles here and I didn't notice any damage. Whats going on with the top right tile?

    Bottle gully to 40mm waste

Thanks for the replies. Wavin (Osma) are saying you can't use waste pipe underground. Which is interesting as some images show the osma 4d900 gully with a waste pipe size knockout. This is for sink and dishwasher 40mm waste exiting through the wall and dropping into the side of the bottle gully...

So I'm going into one of the knockouts, would that fit? The female with the gasket is already taken by the outlet.

    Bottle gully to 40mm waste

Sounds like a silly question, but what's the best way of connecting 40mm waste pipe to a 110mm knockout on a bottle gully. Knockout seems a little shallow for something like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-drain-connector-110mm/ Is that the best method?
