Upgrading from Castle care Euro one+ to Pyronix Euro 76 - wiring question

Look at the wiring you have to each PIR. iD loops are usually exactly that a loop with each sensor coming off it, however you might be lucky as to what wiring you have available. iD biscuits were fetching good prices secondhand at one time, as they are hard to get hold of so before you throw...

    Siren battery replacement

plus postage, need the full picture to best advise. I certainly would replace the whole bellbox. In terms of bell cut off times, its been around a very long time, had to check how long;- 1989 – BSIA installers will fit 20 minute bell cut-outs on all systems from 1990

    Siren battery replacement

I am currently not convinced there is a problem. Wrt the panel battery, if that has not been replaced yet it needs testing to see if it has charged back up to an acceptable level. Need to know if alarm works when mains off and just on battery.

    Siren battery replacement

I am lost. If the mains is off an panel is working then the back up battery is working. If you have mains on and disconnect the battery is the alarm panel still functioning? Mains power plus battery =alarm works Mains power only = alarm works ? Battery only = alarm works (confirmed)

    Siren battery replacement

The alarm panel should not run in battery alone, if it is then you have a mains power issue to the panel and you need to sort that out first. What is the alarm panel?

    Siren battery replacement

So it’s not dead, just drained and if charged up should be okay, bell box battery most likely. Normally modern bell boxes ring for 15/20 minutes then stop. If they are activated again the process repeats. On some bell boxes how ring it rings can be determined by the alarm panel and or the...

    Siren battery replacement

Take the current battery out and it should have the details printed on it. But looks about right. Not familiar with elmdene units, so don’t know the recommended power or capacity of the top of my head or its dimension for it to fit units holder. Note looks like screw in battery terminals and...

    Moving optima compact alarm

Opening a very old thread isn’t going to help much I fear. might be better to start a thread with some questions on specifics you would like to know more about. No question hardwired is lower maintenance. There are trade offs for both systems.

Digital Voice Adapter in Network Switch.

I have a voip phone working via a switch going through an Ethernet over mains plug and so on. So dont see why not, it will come down to what each device needs to function and if the eero6+ can handle it. The eero6+ bit familiar with but looks like it’s part of a mesh network? So no idea if...

Pyronix Active Faults: Wireles Poll Fail

It’s impossible to be certain of the cause. As it self rectified. Rather than a possible source of the problem being dealt with and the faults cleared. detection devices don’t have their own sirens so not sure what you mean by activating their own sirens.

Pyronix Active Faults: Wireles Poll Fail

It’s unlikely all the batteries have failed at the same time. More likely to be some kind of radio jamming. You can check the batteries in the mean time.

Any way of making a Pyronix Enforcer work without the cloud (while still enabling smart functionality)?

Not aware of any integrations as such. But it should be possible as there is remote control and signaling via there own apps. All integrations do is use the same data ! I guess you would have to ask Pyronix for their api or protocols to develop an HA solution that. Talks. The alternatives...

    New nvr system

The problem is the way the industry works unfortunately. Every NVR/DVR/HVR has a specification 8 Channels on a 4K NVR doesn't mean all 8 channels are 4k @25 fps when it comes encoding and decoding To make matters more complicated, some 8 channel NVRs are capable of this with very similar...
