There is normally a expanding plug in the hole that expands when you tighten a screw. Need to find the screw and undo it.

Whats appliances are you doing? Quite straight forward really working pressures, gas rate, safety devices, safety checks ( spillage, flue flow)

Buy an easy fix shower kit. Fit most bar showers. No need to dig the wall out as the joint is afteer the tile

I think it will be the immersion too. Never really trusted them o rings although ive not had a problem with them to date. Fitted about ten over the years.

These gledhill cylinders have a large o ring around the immersion as opposed to a washer. You usually get two with the cylinder i normally tape the spare to the top of the cylinder to help the next plumber out.

I put a bit of silicone on the timber toivhingbthe wall for extra strength.

Hard to say without any measurements? You didnt say how much he charged for the plastering. Get him to break the costings down per metre. Linear for skirtings etc and m2 for plastering.

There are loads of these about in my area.

The fitting i have used in the past fits internally inside the cast, then has a socket on the otger end, so u will need a small length of plastic pipe for the air admittance to fit on to.

Surely its the company's responsibility to sort this? However you can buy a cast to plastic adaptor, try drain centre, they will have what you need, but measure the cast stack first.

I'm a plumber so no expert, hopefully a roofer builder will comment. Doesn't look quite right though. And why do you have a support at the centre of the rsj? Is the beam itself not big enough? Did you have any calcs done by a structural engineer? hope you get it sorted.
