Hi It means that the temperature is rising too quickly. Possibly your pump is on its way out, or there is poor circulation in your system

I would imagine that you're restricting the flow on the hot water so much that it can't modulate down low enough to keep a constant temperature.

Does your boiler have an LCD display? Id imagine it does. What does the temperature reading on that get to when you're running the hot water

Allen Hart is another one I wouldn't pay a lot of attention to. I'll be honest I'm very Worcester bias. But you won't have an issue with them regarding your guarantee. They definitely have their negative points, but when they do breakdown, there's a no quibble approach to fixing it

Then your judgement must be poor, recommending manufacturers whose first priority when attending site is to find as many defects with the installation as possible in order to void the warranty, and the engineers have a competition amongst themselves on how many they can do in a week. o_O

Go for a Worcester easy control instead of the nest then, it's more expensive but it'll be covered under the he guarantee, the nest won't be

Both quality boilers, in my opinion. Not without their flaws , but no boiler is. When it breaks down, and it will break down, that's inevitable, you'll get great back up with both

And OP you can use the nest with an 8000 and utilise the open therm technology, you just need a converter to do so, I guess the experienced guys neglected to tell you that

You won't find many people on here who'll recommend you a premium named boiler, they all seem to stick together in discouraging people to buy them, it seems the popular thing to do around here. They'd rather recommend boilers with no track record, poor past performance, rubbish customer service...

Plus their tens of thousands of contract customers that get an annual service that the field engineers attend, muggles seems to be a bit bitter towards Worcester. Assuming that they're there just to cover warranty. They sell more boilers than anyone in the UK, maybe ideal sell more, probability...

Hi Sarah, when you turn the thermostat all the way up, does the green radiator light turn green at the boiler ? If it doesn't , give the time clock a quick bang with your fist and see it it turns green then ?

As Ian says, nothing you can do about it. A good service by someone who knows what they're doing should sort it out
